On Saturday, November 10, 2012, the Idaho State Police investigated a three vehicle crash on SH31 at the 5 mile marker, just north of Swan Valley. Jamie Krupinski, 24 from Jackson,Wy, was south on State Highway 31 in a green 1997 Ford. Krupinski lost control on the ice covered roads and crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, colliding with a red 2002 Toyota Tacoma. Michael Robinson, 32 from Idaho Falls, was driving the Toyota Tacoma. Kelly Muir, 24 from Franklin, ID, was behind Robinson in a grey Ford Eclipse. Muir left the south side of the road to avoid the collision in front of him and subsequently hit a road sign. Two passengers from Robinson's vehicle were transported by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Jamie Krupinski was transported by ground ambulance to Teton Valley Hospital. Idaho State Police was assisted by Swan Valley EMS, Bonneville County Sheriff's Office, and Teton County Sheriff's Office.
